Vivian
Kerr has appeared in episodes of Rizzoli & Isles, New Girl, Criminal Minds, Masters of Sex, Bad Judge, Castle,
Grey's Anatomy, Franklin & Bash, and The Bold & the Beautiful. Her film work includes IFC Midnight's horror
thriller The Den, comedy short The Assistant with Janeane
Garofalo, and period piece Lines about the Bronte sisters, which she
also wrote and co-produced.
She earned her BA in Theatre from the University of Southern California,
and studied Shakespeare at BADA in London before working extensively in regional and Los Angeles theatre. For her role in The Crucible, Vivian was
nominated for an Ovation Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, as
well as LA Weekly and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, and
her work has been praised as "beautifully understated," "seamless,
selfless," and "effortlessly strong, yet vulnerable."
She studied improv and sketch comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade and The
Groundlings and has appeared in several sketches on The Tonight Show and Jimmy
Kimmel Live! Vivian also wrote, produced, and starred in the web series We
Are with the Band, which was selected as a Comedy Pilot at the Los Angeles Independent
Television Festival.
Vivian is currently developing three projects: The Green Children,
a historical thriller set in the 12th century based on the legend of the green
children of Woolpit, For Those Who Wait, an adaptation of
Chekhov's Three Sisters set in small-town America during WWII, and Funeral,
a dark comedy about a dysfunctional young woman who steals her estranged
mother's coffin and drives it across country to her childhood home.
